Biomass Gasification

TechnologyBiomass

Biomass gasification is the process of creating a synthesis gas from many of the most common wastes found in landfills and other waste facilities. The "syn" gas that is created can be used for electrical generation, as fuel for boilers, or in many other applications. Some examples of Biomass fuel sources include:

  • Wood waste
  • Organic residential and industrial waste
  • Switch grass
  • Agricultural residue (e.g. poultry litter)
  • Stover (plant matter left after farming crops such as corn or soybeans)
